Who We Are
The Arco del Lauro B&B is located in an 18th century building adjacent to the Tolomei tower. The homonymous Arch, next to our entrance, represents one of the most interesting views of medieval Rome in the fourteenth century. Dante Alighieri celebrates Pia dei Tolomei in the purgatory of his “Comedy”.
Its modern and comfortable environment is in perfect harmony with the characteristic atmosphere of Trastevere.
- The standard rooms are on the ground floor and overlook a safe and quiet internal courtyard.
- The superior rooms are on the second floor (without elevator) equally quiet and overlook the Trastevere roofs.
Just a stones throw from the Isola Tiberina, you can easily cross over the river and in a few minutes walk reach the archaeological centre of Rome. Far from the crowded and noisy streets of Trastevere’s nightlife, yet so close that you feel you are part of it!
Where We Are
We are in the heart of "Trastevere" one of the most antique and characteristic areas of Rome and even one of the most central and lively. In fact, places like the Coliseum, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, the Capitol Hill and even the Vaticancan be easily reached on foot.
The Arco del Lauro B&B is located in front of the Tiberina Island, opposite the Jewish "ghetto", on the side of the river regarded by the Romans as the most authentic.
It is still possible to find artisans, historical shops and family run restaurants as well as the many restaurants or craft shops opened in more recent years.

Facilities
Breakfast is served in one of the oldest bars of Trastevere, in one of the most characteristic squares of the city, surrounded by Rome’s medieval atmosphere. The coffee bar is just around the corner and offers the typical Italian breakfast with its great “cappuccini” and freshly baked croissants. Most of the year it is possible to sit outside and enjoy the fantastic Roman temperature. There is no time limit to the service.
The reception is open from 9 am to 2 pm to help its guests with any kind of information or suggestions.
